1st FULL-DAY WORKSHOP: PRACTICAL FUNDAMENTALS OF CELL CULTURE IN CLEANROOMS
FEBRUARY 2025
This intensive course focused on the practical application of essential techniques for handling cell cultures in controlled environments.
Participants performed trypsinization, cell counting and viability determination, and applied quality controls to Master Cell Bank generation, thawing and culture media preparation.
The course provided essential hands-on experience for researchers, students and professionals interested in cell culture and its applications in biotechnology and regenerative medicine.
FREE WEBINAR: ADVANCED CELL CULTURE TECHNIQUES IN CLEANROOMS
MARCH 2025
On March 15, a webinar led by Marco Cabello, MSc, explored advanced cell culture techniques in cleanrooms. The event was aimed at researchers, students and professionals in biotechnology and biomedical sciences looking to improve their practices in controlled environments.
The session addressed the importance of working in a cleanroom, examining its key features and the operating procedures that ensure the quality and safety of cell cultures. It also covered the principles of 3D culture, highlighting the advantages of organotypic cultures, spheroids and organoids over traditional 2D cultures.

1st SPECIALIZATION COURSE: ADVANCED CELL CULTURE TECHNIQUES IN CLEANROOMS
This specialization course took place on Saturday 22 and Sunday 23 March 2025, providing participants with intensive training in advanced cell culture techniques in cleanrooms.
Over those two days we covered the full program, from the development of biological and synthetic matrices to scaffold biocompatibility analysis using WST-1. Participants learned and applied key methodologies, including the assessment of cell proliferation and viability with non-xenogeneic inducers, 3D in vitro culture techniques and the design of organotypic cultures, all central to biomedical research and tissue engineering.
We thank every participant for their enthusiasm and commitment. It was a great learning experience, and we look forward to seeing you at future editions.
