Magnetic Cell Separation

Magnetic cell separation (MCS) using the CliniMACS Plus system (Miltenyi Biotec, Germany) is an advanced technique that selects or depletes specific cell populations using magnetic microbeads and high-gradient magnetic fields. In the clinical setting, this technology has transformed hematopoietic progenitor cell transplantation by making haploidentical transplants possible, that is, transplants between partially matched donors.
